Embarcadero has released the new update to Delphi 10.4 Sydney. I sat in on their webinar and there was a lot of great new features in the update. One of my favorites is converting a library path to an environmental, which helps shorten the path, which can be a problem with a lot of third party components. There was a couple more VCL components added along with some major performance improvements. There was also a lot of bug fixes and user suggested features added.
One of the improvements is added fixes to the compiler from work that the IDEFIXPACK incorporated from Andreas Hausladen. Andreas’ IDEFIXPACK and DDevTools have long been staples and first to be installed with new versions of Delphi as soon as release. Andreas had announced that 10.3 Rio would be last of which he would work on the IDEFIXPACK. So Embarcadero has been incorporating a lot of these fixes.
